A Bookends University Writing Support and Accountability Group
Writing Buddies: Dedicating Time to Write
Calling all writers—of any level of experience: Are you ready to make a weekly commitment to yourself? Join Writing Buddies! This online writing group is intended to be friendly, flexible, affordable, and encouraging.
Writing Buddies will meet every Sunday afternoon for ninety minutes, from September 18-November 20. The schedule may vary slightly, but will follow this general structure:
3:00-3:15: Checking in and stating intentions
3:15-4:15: Quiet writing time, with optional writing prompts offered on your screen
4:15-4:30: Reporting back and sharing work, as time allows
Writing Buddies will be moderated by writer and Bookends University Programming Director Freda Love Smith. Please email Freda with any questions: firstname.lastname@example.org
Tuition for the entirety of the ten weeks course is $45
Besides their instructional value, Bookends University workshops are intended to create connections among customers, bring visibility to authors, and support visiting and purchasing books from the bookstore. Since this workshop does not require the purchase of a textbook, your ticket includes a $10 gift card, which you can use toward a book of your choice about writing, or any other book. Or give it away to someone you want to encourage to shop at Bookends!
