WE THE PEOPLE Read our Declaration of Independence & Constitution Aloud

This coming Saturday, July 1, Bookends & Beginnings will host a do-it-yourself, WE THE PEOPLE reading of the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution of the United States, meant to celebrate and affirm non-partisan, civic engagement in our community--and make it fun!

The reading will kick off at 3 pm with early sections of the documents read by Evanston Mayor Steve Hagerty, State Representative Robyn Gabel, and members of Evanston's City Council.

As we progress through the documents, readers will include a mix of  community and business leaders, poets and writers, and private citizens--with open mic opportunities for anyone who wants to step up and read a paragraph.

Participants will receive a free copy of a pocket-sized edition of the Declaration and the Constitution (while supplies last).
To reserve a reading slot, RSVP to Bookends & Beginnings atinfo@bookendsandbeginnings.com.
