Cara Tanamachi Book Launch: The Second You're Single
Join Bookends & Beginnings on Wednesday, January 25 from 6 - 7 pm to celebrate the publication of Cara Tanamachi's new novel The Second You're Single. A former Evanston resident, Cara has written a cheerfully irreverent, bitingly funny story all about navigating the most romantic month of the year, and about how love always seems to arrive when you least expect it. It's the perfect novel to get you in the mood for Valentine's Day, especially if you, like Cara's main character, have an aversion to that particular holiday. Read more about about it on our website here.
Cara's short talk and book-signing are part of a bigger event we are hosting at the store that night--our last-ever event in the alley space that has been home to Bookends & Beginnings for nearly nine years. We're calling the evening "Last Call," and we invite everyone who loves the space and wants to bid farewell to be a part of it. There will be light refreshments, some toasting, and a lot of fond reminiscing, before we turn the page and begin our new chapter at 1620 Orrington Avenue, sometime in early February.
To make sure we can accommodate everyone who wants to come, we have divided the evening into two "sittings," one from 6-7 pm, and another from 7-8 pm, and whichever you choose, you must make a reservation on Eventbrite. Cara's short talk and book signing will take place at 6:30 during the first sitting, so if you're coming for that, make sure you sign up from 6-7. RESERVE HERE
