For February comfort (hygge!!), we're turning to Meat and Potatoes. Yes, again this month there are two books you can choose from: the brand-new A Meatloaf in Every Oven: Two Chatty Cooks, One Iconic Dish and Dozens of Recipes--co-authored by New York Times columnist Frank Bruni--which is one big love letter to meatloaf. OR choose Smashed, Mashed, Boiled, and Baked--And Fried, Too!: A Celebration of Potatoes in 75 Irresistible Recipes by Raghavan Iyer (whose Indian Cooking Unfolded was one of our favorite selections last year). Both books feature international flavors and vegetarian options (yes! a whole chapter on "Meatless Loaves"!) The potato book includes appetizers, salads, sides, and desserts as well as entrée dishes-so we're expecting a very well rounded meal!
